In the fall of 1999, Crafter's Choice Book Club, inspired by Mimi Dietrich's Pink Ribbon A Book Because of Breast Cancer, announced a call for quilt blocks that incorporated the color pink. We wanted to honor those whose lives had been affected by breast cancer, raise funds for research, and increase public awareness of the disease. The response was overwhelming--more than 3,500 blocks were received. Threaded Together is the touching story of our Pink Ribbon Quilt Project.
