While he has retired from the trapline trail, he is still a great lover of the woods and is an active hunter. He explained to me that actually it is not \"the kill\" that he is interested in so much as just being in the woods.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eHe says that Mother Nature made a mistake when she created so many carnivorous creatures and so few herbivorous animals, however he feels no enmity toward predators when he happens onto one of their kills. He also says \"I guess Nature planned it that way so it must be right and will be O.K. if man is kept under control\".\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eI believe he knows more about wild animals and their habits than any other woodsman I have met.
