Julian Westall's training approach respects the individuality, temperament and nature of each horse. In many ways, utilizing this approach presents a greater challenge for the trainer as he or she must develop and rely upon his or her own skills in observation, judgement and understanding to become, in short, a thinking trainer. But the rewards are great as a confident, thoughtful trainer and, in turn, a confident, well-adjusted and well-rounded young horse with a future.
